No more battles at the door.
One little card turns every walk into a mission they chose themselves. You don’t have to plan, persuade, or entertain. The card does the thinking, so you can just be outside together.
-
They’re the ones heading for the door. A card chosen at breakfast gives them a reason to get their shoes on.
-
They lead, you follow. Instead of “come on, keep up”, they’re hunting for a red leaf, a bumpy stick, or a hedgehog’s coat.
-
They look closer and stay longer. One spot becomes a whole little world to search, sort, and collect.
-
The adventure comes home. Their finds go onto a board or into a keepsake, so the walk carries on at the kitchen table.

Pick a card and start your adventure outside.
A4, actual size. Strengthen boards with card or laminate if you like.
Pick one or two cards. Bring only what’s listed under “Take with you.”
Find a spot. Read the card together. Let your child lead.
Press, match, tick, rub, invent — every coat and critter is different.
These weren’t finished at the kitchen table.
Real grass. Real leaves. Real little hands — twelve invitations waiting in the bag.

Questions you might have.
Is this a physical pack or a digital download?
It’s a digital PDF. Print at home on A4, cut the cards and boards, and play. Print another copy whenever you need — all season long.
What ages is it for?
Best for ages 3–6. Younger children explore with a grown-up; older ones can lead more of the play themselves.
What do I need besides a printer?
Scissors and children’s modelling clay (or glue/tape). Some games also use wide tape, string, a blunt child-safe needle, crayons, a pencil or an egg carton — each card lists “Take with you.”
How should I print it?
Print at 100% / actual size on A4. For boards that last, laminate the hedgehog, garden, colour wheel and tree pages — or glue them onto thin card (a cereal box works well).
We only have a short walk. Is that enough?
Yes. Choose one or two cards. Most games fit a short outdoor stretch — a park, pavement, garden or school gate is enough. No forest required.
How is this different from the Explorer Passport?
The Passport is a keepsake booklet of adventures to fill. Autumn Play is a seasonal pack of cut-out cards and play boards — invitations you take outside for leaves, colours and woodland finds.
Can we play gently?
Stay close. Collect only what’s already on the ground. Leave plants and animals where they are — and wash hands after play.
